Mini Magna-Fx® Cannulated Screw Fixation System

Precise Small Bone Fixationmini_magna_fx1

The 4.0mm and 5.0mm Mini Magna-Fx Screws are sized for the precise reduction of a small bone fractures and small bone fragments including fractures of the medial malleolus, distal tibia, distal radius, calcaneus, talus, patella, and pelvis, as well as for fixation of bone prominences and the supracondylar fractures of the distal humerus in children.

4.0mm Fully Threaded Screws

Smaller for tighter applications, the fully threaded 4.0mm screw offers superior holding power.

4.0mm Partially threaded Screws

The 4.0mm partially threaded screw also accommodates a lag screw technique. The smaller size secures smaller bones and smaller fragments.

5.0mm Fully Threaded Screws

For maximum hold in cancellous bone, a 5.0mm fully threaded screw offers the greatest resistance to pull out.

5.0mm Partially Threaded Screws

The partially threaded 5.0mm screw permits the use of a lag screw technique for the interfragmentary compression of narrow fragments.

Versatile-A Variety of Thread Configurations

To provide secure fixation for small bone fractures and to secure small bone fragments, the Mini Magna-Fx screw is supplied in two diameters with various thread configurations. Since the holding strength of a screw in cancellous bone is directly related to thread length, both the 4.0mm and 5.0mm diameter Mini Magna-Fx Screws are available with full and partial threads. On the fully threaded screws, the thread length is equal to the screw length, whereas on the partially threaded screw, the thread length is in proportion to the overall screw length. Mini Magna-Fx Screws provide a broad range of partially threaded screws to accommodate various clinical situations, especially those requiring a lag screw technique.

Efficient-Mini Magna-Fx Advantages

The Mini Magna-Fx System is designed to maximize operating room efficiency.

Mini Magna-Fx Screws are self-cutting in appropriate bone stock to eliminate steps during the operation.

Mini Magna-Fx Cannulated Screws and Guide Pins are supplied sterile.

Mini Magna-Fx Drill Sleeves are designed with positive stops that may be pre-set to prevent over drilling.

The Mini Magna-Fx Screwdriver is cannulated so that screws may be inserted directly over the Guide Pins.

Mini Magna-Fx Screws and Instruments are supplied in autoclavable plastic cases. Imprints identify the components to assist the staff in maintaining efficient intraoperative retrieval and postoperative restocking.
