NexGen® Complete Knee Solution MIS Quad-Sparing™ Instruments

Product Description

The NexGen Complete Knee Solution MIS Quad-Sparing Instruments are designed to help the surgeon re-establish normal lower bone extremity alignment while ensuring implant fixation, and adequate soft tissue balancing and stability. TheNexGen Complete Knee Solution MIS Quad-Sparing Instruments combine optimal alignment accuracy with an innovative technique that helps avoid any muscle disruption, tendon dissection, or patellar dislocation.

The MIS Quad-Sparing Instrumentation is designed to:

  • Facilitate a smaller incision technique, thereby reducing tissue trauma and improving early return of range of motion
  • Approach bone resection from the medial or lateral side
  • Allow adjustment and control of alignment prior to performing any bone cuts
  • Shorten length of hospital stay; with appropriate peri-operative management, some patients can go home the day of surgery
Innovative Approach

The Distal Femoral Resection Guides are designed to assist the surgeon with restoring proper anatomic alignment. The appropriate angle is selected as determined by preoperative radiographs. This innovative instrument is designed with the cut slot on the side of the femur.

Precise Femoral Finishing
Anterior/posterior sizing of the femur is accomplished with the leg in extension to help avoid pressure from soft tissues on the anterior cortex affecting the size and subsequent component positioning.

The MIS Femoral Finishing Guide allows the physician to make the anterior and posterior cuts, the chamfer cuts, the preparation for the trochlear recess, and peg holes quickly and accurately with one cutting guide.

The innovative Tibia Resection Assembly approaches the tibia resection from an oblique angle to support the removal of the tibial bone with a smaller incision.
